Introduction

The 2006 African Utility Week will bring together some 1200 key decision makers from the African utility industry.

The African Utility Week’s unique training, networking and discussion platforms will demonstrate how utilities can be more efficient and offer cost-effective services through improved infrastructure maintenance, load management, delivery and revenue management choices. The event will turn ‘talk into action’ by providing an overall blueprint for strategic planning, implementation and technical management for the African utility business.

The main priorities for the electricity, water and gas sectors in Africa are to meet current demands and to apply new utility management processes in order to increase utility revenue through reliable technology systems such as metering, billing and CRM/CIS.

This event is like no other event in Africa and can confidently be stated as the largest utility event in Africa, bringing together 870 key decision makers in Cape Town in 2005. This offers a premier platform to develop utilities into profitable entities in Africa.
