iPAD DRC news:

The 5th Infrastructure Partnerships for African Development (iPAD) DRC 2009 conference and exhibition will provide a forum for government and business to meet and explore opportunities for developing and investing in the infrastructure of the region.

iPAD DRC has become the largest annual forum in the DRC to explore strategies for infrastructure development in the mining, power, transport, banking and telecommunication sectors.

The private sector will drive growth in Africa and governments should encourage this by striving to create an enabling environment. This requires an active dialogue with the private sector, direct lending to private interests and a reform of legal and regulatory frameworks to strengthen governance and accountability.
