Opening session
The keynote session with Anne Shen Smith from SDG&E, California Public Utilities Commissioner Dr. Nancy Ryan and Itron’s Philip Mezey, really set the tone for the conference, trying to identify where technology meets the customer. From technology education, to rates motivation and dealing with consumer backlash to smart metering, the keynote panel fuelled the debate over the ensuing days.
