Transformation leads to expansion of the metering market in India
Metering, Billing/CRM India 2008 will provide the ideal platform to review the technologies available and engage utility leaders to discuss how these can be implemented to achieve the targets set during the 2nd stage of the Accelerated Power Development and Reform Programme (APDRP-II). Under APDRP-II, performing power utilities would be reimbursed 50 percent of the project cost as a grant for reducing their aggregated technical and commercial (ATC) losses to 15 percent within five years. Non-performers would not be reimbursed and would have to rely on borrowings for entire requirements of a project.
