About the venue




Cape Town's state-of-the-art Convention Centre is of international standard and offers a purpose-built, flexible facility with 10000 m² of dedicated exhibition space, two raked fixed-seating auditoria for 1500 and 600 delegates, a 2000 m² grand ballroom with magnificent city views, and over 33 break-out rooms.
Located on Cape Town’s northern foreshore, near the waterfront beneath Table Mountain, the Centre offers event organisers a state-of-the-art facility with high-tech infrastructure.
Flight information

Our preferred carrier, South African Airways are offering delegates special fares over the period of the event on a first come, first serve basis. Early booking is strongly suggested as flights to, from and within South Africa are generally in heavy demand. These fares are available for flights booked directly with SAA on their Intercontinental, Regional and Domestic services subject to the relevant class availability. Conditions will apply. Any flights undertaken on foreign carriers will be for the delegate’s own account. Enquiries can be made immediately by contacting your nearest SAA office. Cape Town is an internationally famous destination and has been voted among the top ten places to visit.
The city attracts visitors from around the world to enjoy its natural beauty, excellent climate, range of tourist attractions, cultural diversity and friendly people. The heart of the city nestles between Table Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean. A few minutes from the city centre visitors can find pristine sandy beaches, rugged mountains and other areas of natural beauty.
The most cosmopolitan of South Africa’s cities, Cape Town blends African, European and Asian cultural influences to make it ‘one city, many cultures’.
Average temperatures
The Cape’s climate is described as Mediterranean, with warm, dry summers and mild, moist winters. Near the coast, summer temperatures range from a pleasant low of 15°C (59°F) to highs of 27°C (80.6°F). Inland temperatures are some 3 to 5°C higher, making for gorgeous summer days and nights.
Coastal winters see the mercury dropping to a mild 7°C (44.6°F) at night, rising to a comfortable 18°C (64.4°F) by day. Away from the beach, morning arrives at an invigorating 5°C (41°F), with midday temperatures in the region of 22°C (71.6°F).

Journey to an area still dominated by nature and natural characteristics. Hout Bay, half-hour boat trip to Duiker Island (optional), Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, Cape Point. Return to Cape Town via Simon’s Town, Fish Hoek and Muizenberg.

Credit and charge cards are widely accepted, including American Express, Bank of America, Diners, MasterCard and Visa. Some automatic teller machines (ATMs) give cash advances. Travellers’ cheques are also widely accepted and exchanged. Commission charges depend on which bank you use and which travellers’ cheques you have. Most banks are open Monday to Friday 09:00 – 15:30. ATMs are found in most towns and operate on a 24-hour basis.
