Over 170 participants from 15 countries
attended the conference in
Dubai on 4- 6 May, 2009.

Program highlights included the keynote and welcoming address by, H.E Saeed M. Al Tayer of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) and Iskraemeco’s Senior Research & Development Engineer, Ahmed Helmy Omar, The interactive 'pre-conference workshops', hosted by PowerPlus Communications and BPL, showed how utility companies could start to become “smart” as well as the first steps to provide a faster return.

The conference sessions were well attended and the Elster cocktail reception provided a great opportunity with much networking between vendors, utilities, consultants, academics and industry leaders.
